Almost you slipped one past me. Not so easy....
Great original capture of this Crested Celebes macaque - Macaca nigra. He seems to be a very shy one.
Very nice composition with lovely colours and sharp details. The exposure was on the button with perfect lighting and the DOF was excellent.
Very well done and TFS.
PS. Just as a matter of interest. Although Wikipedia calls it an ape, the only real apes are the Bonobos, Chimpanzees, Orang-utans and the Gorillas. Macaques form part of the group of 'Old World monkeys'. If you ever saw the original movie of 'Planet of the Apes' you might recall a scene where the space traveller (can't remember his name) called the old Orang-utan a monkey and he (the ape) nearly threw all his toys out of his cot. He snarled that monkeys are low intelligence, worker class citizens and he (the Orang-utan) was an ape, far advanced and superior to the monkeys. When one look at the zoological divisions of animals then you find that, the old Orang-utan was actually correct in saying so. There are 4 main divisions namely, 1. Primates, 2. Monkeys, 3. Gibbons, and 4. Apes. Anyhow, enjoy your day.
