Hello Catherine,
Morocco, especially the Atlas Mts. is a geologists paradise. This well-composed shot shows a fine place in such a paradise with wonderful colours shown in fine lighting, both of the loose rocks and the rock strata in the BG.
It's great fun looking for interesting stones and fossils!
Thanks and kind regards,
Ivan
Hello Ursula,
Welcome to TN!
Though this is a little soft, it is a fine capture of a Sanderling in winter plumage. The POV, pose, lighting and wavy sand BG are excellent.
Thank you and best regards,
Ivan
Bonjour Philippe,
A fine capture of these impressive limestone cliffs rising from the evergreen vegetation in the FG taken in fine lighting against a nice deep blue sky. The sedementary nature of the rock is clearly seen by the different strata. Must be be an interesting place to visit from many aspects.
Merci et bon dimanche,
A bienôt,
Ivan
Hello Pawel,
A fine macro of a burying beetle taken from a fine dorsal POV with good sharpness and DOF and with fine light management against the light BG.
It is not often we see these type of beetle or this species on TN. They usually smell of rotting meat when handled!
Thanks and kind regards,
Ivan
Hello Ron,
Wonderful capture of a very nice bird, I've never seen before.
Excellent details and superb colours.
Very good sharpness and focus.
Marius.
Hi Hans
I like this shot, great sharpness and detail, and excellnt composition. Regards
Alex
Hi Markus
Your intro page say that your "photography may be considered a little bit particular"
and that you "like the abstract aspect in nature photography". To this I have to say
that I am probably out of my league to critique this. I must hastily add that beautiful
has never been ugly and my eyes do know what it likes and this image definitively
pleases my eyes. I have great respect for you guys who can look at a given pattern
or something even more abstract that maybe do not even look like there's a pattern
yet you can conjure the most wonderful images from it. Although this may represent
a smorgasbord of shapes and sizes it is an amazing shot and the eyes totally enjoy
what it sees. After all one must remember that it is gold (chuckle).
Well done and TFS.
Regards
Loot
PS. Thanks for your visit and kind comments to my flying Impalas.
A superb pose taken with nice sharpness from a fine POV makes this beautiful Magnolia Warbler stand out even when surrounded by a tangle of dried climbing tendrils. The composition and the greenish BG add to the quality of this shot.
I wish I could see one, let alone take such a good shot!
Thanks Ron and enjoy your Sunday,
Ivan
The composition with the needles radiating from the pine cone is perfect Bob.
I like to see the structure of this opened cone, here shown with fine sharpness. It sure is inviting to fill the spaces once occupied by pines seeds with goodies for the birds - great idea!
Next week I'm singing in the Advent consert with the choir so our Holiday Season is well under way. I wish you and Jane a happy time.
All the best,
Ivan
