|Namibia offers fascinating landscapes, as flora and fauna are also. I propose here a typical landscape of the Namib National Park, located in the desert of the same name:trees enjoying a pocket of underground water and sand dunes unique in the world, both in size (up 300 m high) and the intensity of the orange color (due to iron particles during oxidation).|
This desert is considered as the "oldest desert in the world". It begins at the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, crossed here by the very cold Benguela current. Condensation resulting from temperature differences with the ground provides enough moisture in the form of fog for the survival of plants, small animals and some of their predators, all together constituting a surprisingly diverse ecosystem when we consider aridity of the landscapes.

thanks greeting lou
Love the colors in this,
a really nice African landscape!
One step back, and you would have place
for the whole trees....
So barren..waves of sand gorgeous sky. Looks a little like a pine needle on those trees...just amazing sight TFS!
Simple yet beautiful landscape. Probably, at least to my taste, the foreground is a bit too much, otherwise a fascinating photo with great use of lights. Congrats and tfs.
Best regards, László
