|I spotted a flock of Lesser flamingos at Lake Natron, a salt lake located in Northern Tanzania near the Kenyan border. These were the first flamingos I had ever seen in the wild.|
From what I have read, the flamingos like the rich minerals that are deposited from the evaporating water.
I will post more images in a WS.

Hallo Ron Very nice picture to show the birds in flyght
good sharpness and lovely colours
thanks gr lou
It's always nice to see a new species in the wild. Quite well captured those flying Lesser Flamingos. I told you, sometime 600mm even isn't enough in African Safari :-)
Here birds are bit far and for that you didn't get much Depth.
Looking forward to see your "Ground Hornbill" picture ;-)
Thanks for sharing,
Regards and have a nice WE,
At a high shutter speed, you have frozen these birds in mid flight, Ron. Their flying postures are elegant, to say the least.
The blurred background gives good impression of the location in Tanzania.

Hi Ron,3 beautiful pics but obviously i agree with your for the choice of the main post, the in-flight version is the most difficult to do and absolutely amazing! Great camera setting for the best details and for the best white, not overxposed, too. Have a nice week and thanks,Luciano
Excellent details, focus and clarity with some amazing birds. Excellent composition with the birds in flight.....I feel like like in Danube Delta.....with dozen of birds flying around me......
Nice action shot, the flight was perfectly frozen into the frame. I'd crop more from the top / bottom and also from left to concentrate the views more on to the flamingos - otherwise spectcular and attractive image with good additional shots.
Kind regards from Ireland, LĂĄszlĂł
