Hello Narayanan,
What a beautiful pair of Parrots! The colors and details are wonderful and the setting is amazing. Beautiful photo.
Regards Siggi

Hi Gannu,
You are really fixed on Lorius lory!

Lorius lory (aka Black-capped Lory) has a red throat, purple breast and hindnape, large black cap on the crown, and green wings. Neither of these birds is Lorius lory.

The left-hand bird is the nominate race haematodus of Trichoglossus haematodus (Rainbow Lorikeet). The right-hand bird is another Eos bornea (Red Lory).

Hi Ganesh, a splendid shot of these very colourful parrots in a fine composition. TFS this fine image my friend!
Cheers,

bayram

Hi Ganesh,

Your title is so funny! How wonderful to find two of these parrots on the branches. I have no idea what sexes these are but the colorful one looks like a she with the coy look. Beautiful colors, details and composition.

Hello Narayanan,
what a nice capture for colorful lories. superb colors, great light, composition and POV/OOF. focus also very nice. have a nice weekend in Singapore.
Ahmet

Thanks for fetching in these jewels from Singapore and sharing them with us, Ganesan.
Needless to say, these birds are beautiful and well presented.
Regards.

Hello Ganesan
Ha-ha, your naughty title is quite funny, but possibly slightly offbeat as Steve Pryor (cuckooroller) pointed out that it is two different species on the photo. I have noticed that he really knows his stuff around the identification of birds. Although fortunately that do not take away one bit of the beauty of the photo. The sharp focus and lovely colours show the stunning beauty of these birds very well. A cute scene with the two friends having a chat, but actually it seems as if they are giving you the 'eagle' eye. Parrots (i.e. lories, lorikeets, parakeets, lovebirds, rosellas, conures, etc.) are very inquisitive birds and these two look very alert to what you are doing. I have finally mustered enough nerve to upload my 1st photo and I just want to thank you for encouraging me to do so. Rehanna

Hi Ganesh, fantastic couple of wonderful parrots with splendid colors, fine details and excellent sharpness, very well done, have a good week end, ciao Silvio
